Fed: Enigma encoding machine to go on display in Australia

A rare Enigma encoding machine used to scramble Nazi messages during World War II will
soon go on public display for the first time in Australia.

But the Australian War Memorial is confident the machine will not suffer the same fate
as a British model, which disappeared for six months last year and was caught up in an
alleged extortion attempt.

Military technology curator MIKE CECIL says the machine will be behind a thick glass wall.
