The European Commission has invited Eucomed, the umbrella organization for medical technology companies and trade associations active in Europe, to take part in the European Health Forum.
This is a new project to be launched later this year as part of the broader EU integrated health strategy. It is intended to be an information and consultation forum to ensure that the aims of the EU's health strategy are made clear to the public. It will enable those involved in the field to be part of developing and implementing health policy Europe-wide.
Eucomed will take part in the first meeting of the European Health Forum in November 2001.
