Verizon Wireless has expanded its fastest data network, which also supports its VCast television-on-cellphone service, to covermost of the region within Interstate 495 and down to New Bedford andFall River. Verizon's Broadband Access network also offers $80 amonth wireless Internet access at speeds of up to 700 kilobits persecond through devices plugged into laptop computers. Verizon, whichhad covered most of the region inside Route 128 south on Interstate95 to Providence, said it added coverage in the Merrimack Valley,along I-495 between Westborough and Wrentham, and as far south as Kingston.
