Qld: Gabba roof structurally sound, says sports minister

Queensland's sports minister has dismissed reports the Gabba's roof may have to be
pulled down and rebuilt.

A wild Brisbane storm last November blew the roof off a stand and damaged the sports
ground's centre wicket area.

Media reports today said the stadium's entire roof might have to be pulled down ..

amidst concerns the storm had undermined the structure's integrity.

But Sports Minister PHIL REEVES says testing shows it's sound .. and safe for all patrons.
